Niger Issues Request for Pre-Qualifications for Scaling Solar Project

The Republic of Niger, through its Ministry of Petroleum, Energy and Renewable Energy, has issued a Request for Qualification (RFQ) for the design, financing, construction, and operation of a grid-connected solar PV plant with a capacity of approximately 50 MWac, to be developed under the World Bank Group’s Scaling Solar program. The plant will be located in Gorou Banda, on the outskirts of the capital city of Niamey.

All interested parties should register with Ministry of Petroleum, Energy and Renewable Energy and purchase the RFQ document. Qualification applications must be submitted on or before 10:00 am GMT on November 22, 2021. Only pre-qualified bidders will receive the Request for Proposals.
